I have had the same experience in Italy and France over the last few weeks that the vehicle is sitting up, especially when there are strong bumps to reduce the speed. Today I took a look at the car from underneath where the bumps hit.
It always seems to hit the exhaust, front or rear.
My values from the ground to the top of the wheel arch:

front left: 640mm front right 640mm
rear left: 632mm rear right 635mm

How to protect the exhaust?

Direct from MMC, but I believe the dealers are able to do it.
I can still catch the odd speed bump and ferry ramp if not approach properly.
