A few areas of mine have become quite squashed which means the boot isn't particularly snug when shut. Is there a source for the profiles that are used? I cant see anything on the alternate parts list.

Worth a look around here.They have good variety of kit and are very helpful - from a friendly not M3W owner  still a Vee thing though

In the US of A, I have used the foamed insulation made for wrapping 3/4" pipe cut in half lengthwise to wrap around the boot and SLOW the tracking of dust and mung. It is not perfect but it is extremely cheap and works after a fashion. Like the car, it is a total kludge...
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
