Hi All,
I thought I'd open this here to save so many entries on the for sale thread.

Thanks for all your private messages. Rather too many to answer individually, apologies.
However, things are progressing. I have a finished unit on test. There have been several things to sort. I think we have to line them to prevent any possible leather damage and so we've tested several glues. The ball needed to be fractionally larger and the fill of the material has to be just right to allow the correct flexibility of the clamp.

There's also a development for a ball socket attachment to allow a phone mount in due course.

So, thanks again for the interest, I have a list of everyone interested and as soon as all the testing is done I will send you all the contact details to order one.
Nick

A bit more info. Nearly ready to go. There have been delays caused by making it matt black. Although the material is identical in theory, the black seems to behave slightly differently in practice.
Anyway, nearly there.
My friend is really putting alot of time into this and he doesn't even own a Morgan! Just shows a long client relationship can become friendship when Morgans are involved......

At last! Good news.

The clips are now available.
Please be aware that these are being produced one at a time, this is not a commercial enterprise for my friend Mark, who is doing it as an absolute favour for me.
There have been no end of prototypes tested by me, all sorts of details sorted in the hope of perfection.
Like Roger, Mark is a multitalented person and has set up a webpage to handle pictures and details.

I've been using mine now for over a week. If you intend to remove it often I would recommend fitting the supplied strip of rubbercloth to the clip as the plastic is hard, obviously. (Rubbercloth strips handcut by me in true MMC tradition!) I used a small amount of no more nails glue to attach it.

There are plans to offer alternative ball sizes and possibly a telephone holder to fit the unit.

I would urge you to treat the purchase as a punt really. Please don't ask Mark to take it back or refund if it doesn't suit you. It's offered as a fun and interesting artifact, not as a commercial retail product. I must accentuate that Mark is barely covering his costs here and not charging for his time.

Lastly another thank you to Roger for freely supplying the original design.
Nick.

The webpage is:
https://www.morgan-gadgets.com
And Mark's email if you would like to buy one is sales@morgan-gadgets.com
