My handbrake does not lock on at all. Obviously the ratchet and pawl need replacing. Has anyone done this job and offer advice. 1992 plus4.

Uncle Melvyn sells the ratchet and pawl I know but I was enquiring as to fitting. I discovered the inspection cover on the side of the tunnel. The ratchet was immaculate except it was full of crap. Brushed out with a small wire brush and brake holds.
