I took the car for a short but very nice test drive. I am very happy with how the car went but I feel I was looking over the windscreen just as much as through it. I will be interested to try drive it with the roof on and see how it feels.

A long but enjoyable day with over 700km driving, drove to the other side of town to pick up dad then to Sydney to the workshop and drove the MGB, then to Wollongong for a very late 4pm lunch at the wharf then back to Canberra. I ordered a Mitsubishi Outlander a bit over a year ago and the ship it was in had landed at Port Kembla so we took a detour to take a photo of the boat from Mount Kiera lookout. It is the Selene Leader and the big black boat in the last photo, those large ships certainly are huge when you seem them, it would be nice to get a closer photo.

The MGB went very well and I am really looking forward to getting it home and having a lot of drives. The engineer is coming down next week to pick it up and take it back to his workshop which is very close to where I live so i might even see it, he will inspect it, take it for a few test drives and take his report and the car to Government Motor Vehicle Inspection Station for them to inspect. Then it goes back to the workshop in Sydney for a buff and polish before delivery to me. It looks great as it is now with just a few swirl type marks on it that are hardly noticeable, I expect it will look great once polished. Hopefully all of that doesn’t take too long.
