Good afternoon all,

just found this report about E10 effects on E10 resistant fuel supply lines.

Hope the link works.

Just a little thing…

I never had problems with E10.

I’ve got (since the mid 1990ies) a Vespa PK125 (rebuild), from 1998 on Harleys (the new one a 2002 bike from new), all „be aware of E10“. Never a problem.

Now, I’ve got a brand new Moto Guzzi V7. There is a clear sticker: e10 approved.

In the real world: my Dealer Gold me „use E5“, www told me „there is a lot of corrosion“…

In my eyes the times changes, Keep the old things.

I left various pieces of hose in some E10 petrol 18 months ago and I have just taken the hoses out and this is the result, the silicon hose swelled to almost twice its size at both ends and some of the printed writing on the standard fuel/air hose came off , the copper pipe with some lead based solder on it looked ok, but the biggest surprise was the amount of debris in the petrol it will certainly clog up an injector/jet or fuel filter.

When it first came E5 dissolved a fuel pipe in the tank of my hedge trimmer and split the mowers plastic tank
