Going to Mogfest this coming weekend and staying down until Monday.
Fancy a run out to the seaside on Sunday but which town and what route?
Thinking of a run over the South Downs and then a nice seaside town with some decent car parking, good pub and great fish and chips.
Not too crowded would be a bonus.
Thought Goodwood / Tangmere might be good waypoints but what suggestions for a nice day out?
What do you think????

Hastings Old Town is Quaint, one of the last remaing beach launch/land Fishing Fleets. Then on to afternoon tea at a favourite of Hopmog, possibly even stay overnight-Morgans always welcome, then a visit the next day to the Wonderful C.M.Booth collection to satisfy any 3 wheeler yearnings. Well worth a visit. Potential route below, (avoiding motorways and tolls) could take in Goodwood as well. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/06/25/Screenshot_20230625_192746_Maps.md.jpeg)

Not too crowded, what a lovely thought. You are going to the South coast in the holiday season, good luck with that.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

I'm in Hove, so know these roads a bit...
Avoid Worthing: It's a car park at the best of times & if heading West Worthing to Arundel, check the jam at the West end of the dual carriageway: it's best avoided
As a rule of thumb, don't take the coast road unless you need to. Take a road one or better two in from the coast, and you can find old A & B roads that pass through quiet leafy scenery.
If you're at Powdermills you're near Rathfinney vineyard - which does a pricey coffee & snack with spectacular views :-)

Yes, Will got there before me. As well as Arundel you want to avoid the A27 Chichester bypass completely, especially on a sunny weekend (I stupidly tried to go from Chichester to Havant a couple of weeks ago and the 14-mile journey took me over 90 minutes). Goodwood is nice to visit if you've never been but be aware that according to the Motor Circuit Diary there is a running race on that day so don't expect any fast action. I doubt the house and estate will be accessible because the build-up for the Festival of Speed will be going on. If you want to go from Goodwood to Tangmere then cut through Boxgrove.

If you are that far south, any proper Morgan fan should visit Chris Booths collection http://www.morganmuseum.org.uk/
