So the supplier of water to 25% of the UK population is in emergency refinancing talks with the government, this after Maggie sold the business debt free and since then they have paid out £50bn in shareholder dividends and bonuses meanwhile amassing billions of debt, not building a single new source of fresh water since 89 and routinely discharging raw sewage.

Apparently the problems are down to “more people being at home during the day” since the pandemic.

It’d be funny if it wasn’t so disgustingly outrageous. swear

Don't worry, the Tories will bail them all out using Tax Payers money and use it as legitimate excuse why they can't give Teachers and Nurses a pay rise for another 10 years.

Indeed ... although pension funds have spread the risk in the last 30 years thereby reducing their UK stock holdings it's worth remembering that worldwide pension funds hold about 40% of all stock .... so a large percentage those evil 'shareholders' creaming off their dividends are in reality using it to pay our pensions.

This might have been staged managed to get them out of the massive amount of work that is needed to sort out the sewerage issues and the amount of pollution going into rivers.
