And the Stage 1 organic clutch kit for the Mk3 Mazda MX5 (NC variant) from Exedy in Japan who are well renown as one of the worlds leading manufacturers of quality clutches and are the OEM suppler to Mazda themselves.

The organic disc features a newly developed asbestos free friction facing, which has high heat resistance and high burst strength characteristics. No steel back is required which can cause high RPM "lock out" and/or synchro damage.

This complete kit is ideally suited for either stock or modified Duratecs, the drivability characteristics of the organic material disc are similar to the stock clutch. Increased pressure plate clamping loads provide the necessary capacity to handle the performance demands of modified engines and spirited driving and while pedal loads will be slightly higher because of the increased clamping load, this kit is well suited for use on daily-driven cars.
This clutch also gives a 10% reduction in inertia over OEM so combined with the Titan 3.2 kg flywheel Monty's Dureatec will get up on the Newman Phase 2 cams much quicker.
The target is a nice street friendly but fully weaponised 200 - 210hp Monty with good mid range torque characteristics largely helped by the excellent FF inlet manifold, but also with the capacity to wind out to 7,250rpm for that screaming banshee effect.
