Has anyone ever seen for sale (a link would be hugely appreciated) a storage tray that sits on top of the gearbox tunnel in from of the gear stick/hand brake?
It seems like there's enough space to have a tray that would jus the big enough for sunglasses/phone/wallet etc

I would also be interested in a tray for the transmission tunnel. Did wonder if one could be made in fibreglass and covered in a suitable trim material. Happy Miles.

Since this post i've bought a sheet of 0.8mm mild steel to make something up out of, but have yet to do anything more! Planning to cut, fold and weld it, then paint it and put some felt/stretch carpet on the rear to protect the cars leather interior. I'm also planning to make it to hold a bluetooth speaker that we're using instead of the radio.

It's certainly been done John. I believe a Morgan dealer offered one. Link below. ![[Linked Image]](https://allonwhite.co.uk/data/img/product/list/_cache/45ca374eebd0e651c1eb00316c2b435c.jpg)

I don't think that there would be enough room between the seats in our 1996 Plus 8 for a behind the gear stick (on the tunnel) tray(its hard enough to insert the seat belt tongue in the slot as is, to fat did I hear someone say). As Johnplus8 suggests, there may be enough room in front of the gear lever between it and the radio. Let us know how it turns out John, it's a good idea. Happy Miles.

Unfortunately I still haven't learnt the art of loading photos onto TM, but I have fitted both a tray between the gearstick & the radio with a hinged lid, suitable for a mobile phone, pen etc as well as a 'box' on the tunnel, again with a hinged lid, suitable for general storage. Combination of my own ideas & design & a local specialist upholsterer.

The metal T-bar fits exactly in to a the square slot behind the radio blind. Lasts since two years.Very handy and easily removable. Later I covered the box with matching leather (not shown here).
