I've just realised that the last Mog Magazine was in April. I know they announed the print edition would no longer be available in shops but I have a digital subscription on Pocketmags and there's nothing newer there either. Has it finally died?

I believe it’s being revamped and going bi-monthly at some point.

I know it has always been relatively small and been produced on a small budget, but I do hope they return. It was another good source of news and fun to read.

Like most specialist magazines, it's okay the start, but over time material runs dry and subscribers erode.
There's only so much to write about Morgans.

As a subscriber I received this email on the 9th of May.
Dear MOG Reader,
Hope you are well and are having a good week so far. Please see message from Matti the publishing director of MOG:
I wanted to share some exciting news with you all and let you know that for the next couple of months we wont be publishing MOG as we finish our job of facelifting the magazine and making all of the improvements so many of you have been kind enough to share with us.
Since its launch in 2012 some 127 issues ago we have tweaked the magazine but its now time for a complete makeover so MOG is undergoing a complete redesign and rethink to more closely align it with, and reflect, where Morgan is as a company in 2023, while not alienating the legacy owners and faithful readers.
The quality of the magazine's production and presentation will increase dramatically, and we can't wait to share what we're working on. There’s some new members to the team too, Gary Inman has joined us as Managing Editor as Nigel enjoys a well deserved sabbatical. Gary and I worked together many years ago at EMap and Andy Garside has joined us as Art Editor who is well know for his creation of some of the leading magazines in the country.
It wont be long till your next issue of MOG lands on your doormat and until then all I can say is we appreciate your support and as they say it will be worth the wait. We will send out another email in the next couple of weeks to let you know when we expect to see a new MOG issue and we all cannot wait to hear your feedback.
In the meantime by all means get in touch with me if you have any questions.

I would have considered becoming a subscriber, but sorry this fills me with dread: "MOG is undergoing a complete redesign and rethink to more closely align it with, and reflect, where Morgan is as a company in 2023, while not alienating the legacy owners and faithful readers. The quality of the magazine's production and presentation will increase dramatically". Juggling jelly comes to mind.

No Nick, still waiting which doesn't bode well.

I don't take the magazine but the 'quality of the magazine's production and presentation' bit doesn't bode well ... expect thick paper and arty photographs in place of technical info and grassroots articles ... have seen a number of specialist bike magazines go that way ... cofffee table fodder for hipsters ... you see similar in the museum world .... multi-million pound refurb and it comes back with half the physical atrifacts and a lot of arty 'information panels' explaining their 'context' in a way that reflects the current orthodoxy.
Hope I'm wrong for the sake of the subscribers.
