As i have an hole in the driver carpet i have asked the price for a new one. 1200 euros for both carpets ( driver and passenger) exceptionaly they agree to sold only one .
My dealer will buy the material and ask a specialist to make a new . It will be less expensive .

How about having a heel pad added to cover the hole? I did this years back when I noticed wear starting in the rubber that was on there, trying new rubber, textured thin aluminium sheet. The aluminium is still on there now. 1mm thickness I think. I used similar to shroud the cats in the exhaust for faster warming up and protection.

I bought car carpet material by the metre and cut new carpets from it when I need them.
The fact that the carpets have no piping is not at all noticeable.
All you need is a carpet knife, snap fasteners (for my 4/4) and the old carpets as a template.

You can cut a rubber pad to shape and use velcro to fix to the carpet. It is possible to buy rubber mats as well. Not expensive and can be cut to fit.

I had coco mats make a set of custom mats for my plus 4. Way cheaper than 1200eur. You make up a paper template and send it to them... mats came back about 2 weeks later. I even used custom piping I bought from Woolies trim.

Many years ago I bought some heavy duty black mats piped in red that perfectly matched my car via eBay. They were advertised for a +8 and I naively thought they would fit my Roadster. They didn't as too large and had to pay for them to be cut down re-trimmed and have drivers heal panel added. Still cheaper than above mentioned option though.

Nearly five years and 26,000 miles on whilst used as sacrificial carpets over my virtually unused OE ones they have had little wear helped by addition of rubber mat on drivers side during winter.

Why are we not discussing the fact that they wanted 1200 for a pair of mats. That is outrageous. Not a good omen for the future.
