Incidentally, So many people struggle to fit their side screens! Its easy if you follow this method.

Firstly, Open the door and extend the fixing screw knobs to fully undone.

Secondly, locate the rear side screen fixing into the rear door fitting first, holding the screen forward edge up then rotate the side screen so as to locate the forward fixing slot into its position.

Thirdly, With the door still open press the screen downwards and also top in towards the car. now tighten the screw knobs until hand tight and then with the tommy bar.

This will position the side screens correctly onto the door and also against the hood when its up.

When I changed mine to the new pattern I found removing the old version easiest using this method.

The edge closest to the door has an edge that you can lift before you reach the adhesive taped area. I lift this and using a windscreen ice scraper I release it from the pillar by pushing into the angle of the screen pillar. This doesn't remove all the tape as it is a reinforced type and leaves a mesh and adhesive behind.
I then push this with the scraper into the pillar angle and then using a linear action in the angle it removes most of the remaining debris. I then use sticky stuff remover, available at all supermarkets on kitchen roll and that cleans it all away. This I found much easier than brake cleaner as it seems to lubricate as you remove the glue however I finish with a quick wipe of brake cleaner to make sure the surface is fully clean
You have to make a template of the curve of the bottom of the pillar as you need to remove some of the flat inboard section of the profile so as to allow the fitted item to follow the curve at the bottom of the pillar.

Lastly, fitting them to the pillar. Don't pull the tapes of !!!! Firstly you are going to stick the edge that runs parallel to the car ie. where the old seal was fitted. Pull down two inches of the tape and gently approximate the seal in the correct position. Here I use the ice scrapper again. I push it into the angle of the seal and make sure the seal is tight in the angle of the pillar then I push the seal against the pillar to fix the tape. moved down with the scraper, pull a few more inches tape away and fix the seal. Continue like this until you reach the bottom, you will now see how the cut away profile you made to the seal now follows the curve. Continue this process to the perpendicular face of the seal in the same manner but when you get to the bottom I found it best to remove the fat inner edge around the curvature as this allows the seal to sit nicely flush with the pillar. Here I used side cutters. Just before you finally stick that curved piece give the seal a good bend as this helps it remain well stuck to the curve.

Incidentally, I ought to add that all the families ice scrapers are modified by me. I soften the sharp scrapper edge and round off the outer square sharp corners.... what my wife can achieve with an unmodified version to a car body and windscreen surrounds with an off the shelf item is truly remarkable. Did I say I'm thinking of putting dustbin lids on her alloy wheel faces!
