How can I delete what seems to be auto setting of followed threads etc? Had a look i preferences but unable to find a method. I don't select the tag to follow a thread but it looks like it is automatic?

My reply to this thread has not added anything to the follow list.

I had to look around to find out what a followed thread is, I must admit it's a feature I've not seen before. (You click on your name and then select "Follow Lists", for anyone else unaware). You can delete entries but I can't see anything to stop threads from being automatically added when you reply to them.
I did spot the second-to-bottom option in preferences:
"Send me an email when a new post to a forum, thread, or by a user within my Follow Lists is created"
and in my case, it is set to "No". If you use that feature, I can see you'd want to have more control over what is added to the lists.

The reason I am looking to limit thread# is to have a smaller group that I can return to without longer searches etc. A way of decluttering threads/topics of particular interest. Basically create a form personalised content to go to when needed.

Basically create a form personalised content to go to when needed. I deleted all the followed forums and threads in my account yesterday. I’ve only posted in a couple of different places since then, but nothing has appeared automatically back in those follow lists.

I haven't got any followed forums at all in my list, and I haven't deleted any either.

Found I had 349 pages of 'Followed Fourms' and 16 pages of 'followed Threads' ... must do a little pruning methinks!! 🙂

If you "Edit Followed Forums" you can de-select them all and put notification to "None".
