If you're careful about where you drill the holes for the rivnuts, you should be drilling through two layers of aluminium which provides for a solid mounting. I also used 3mm self-adhesive neoprene on the back of the rectifier to protect the paintwork.

I used a fabricated nut plate on the inside for my install, but I like Bunny's rivnut idea as well. Thank you Steve and Bunny for the info I will probably relocate it. I have the HD Rectifier installed and made darn sure it was grounded thoroughly. Good suggestions guys.
