This is pretty highly spec'd was (£55-60k ?) and not even a year old...it looks like used Super 3's are shedding value alarmingly

At the risk of sounding like a smug tw*t .... I've never bought a car for other than utility or enjoyment (Rover estate for daily, Iveco camper for towing the racer, Morgan and bikes for fun and the Landy for the rough stuff) ... and never bought a house for other than living in happily for as long as possible.

Not having to consider resale value or investment return rather than enjoying them for their intrinsic value with no worry about what they're worth today has made for a simple and stress free life ... especially for Morgan owners, if the value of the market dropped to zero tomorrow we'd still have a physical thing to drive that made us smile ... unless you ruin that enjoyment by fretting about abstract value then a Morgan will always have been a good buy 🙂

Best attribute of depreciation is when buying second hand there are some real bargains to be had when compared with new prices; its always especially helpful when someone else has taken the 'big sting' in the falling value of a vehicle from new. Whilst it may be rewarding to spec and drive away a new car, it's so much better to find good second hand value in a used car.

I dread to think how much money I've lost over the years in depreciation, but there again you are only here once and there are no pockets in shrouds. As long as the family is looked after when you are gone, life's too short to worry too much. Whilst I always maintain my cars in pristine condition I'm never too precious about using them.

Blimey. I spoke too soon. I'd buy it for £13,995, mind you.
