Just watching that programme on Electric Cars on the Beeb tonight

Very good although I fell into the deliberate trap of screaming at the TV early on in the programme when the presenter was waxing lyrical about how much better a converted old classic was to its previous ICE’d incarnation

I calmed down when they came back later in the programme about huge problems in battery technology, weight and delivery of infrastructure

Anyway, I digress

When one of the presenters drove in a 68 E type running on synthetic fuel on a race track there were two Morgans in the background, one coming in after a lap and one just going out.

That’s all!

Wasn’t worth posting or reading really was it?

Back to watch the remaining 10 mins

It is good though if you missed it. Catch it on iPlayer

Yes I saw it to. They were I think at Bicester Heritage.
I too was ranting early on. They let the impression stand that electric motors are 100% efficient , forgetting as always the losses in generation and power transmission.

Then of course it was very sad to see how our inept post Brexit government aren't supporting the battery industry leading I guess to ev cars moving production abroad.

Blinking heck, it’s a Mog fest! Just spotted another 4 when the presenter is in the hydrogen fuel cell car

There must have been a Mog meeting when they were filming

Yes of course Bicester Heritage. I’ve never been, didn’t realise it had a test/race track

Must go

Yes we are so, so behind, although that chap who headed up British Volt seemed to come over as a bit of a chancer to me.

Which one, Stewart? The Secret Genius of Modern Life - Electric Car on BBC2 at 7.00pm or What They Really Mean for You - Electric Cars on BBC1 at 8:00pm? (Not a brilliant piece of scheduling by the BBC).

I didn't watch either, I went for a repeat of a Midsomer Murders from 2003 - lots of old Rovers and a Citroen 2CV. The only EV was a milk float!

I got annoyed at Moggy waxing lyrical about the performance offered by electric cars but not mentioning the anti car government and it’s soon to be imposed blanket 20mph speed limit in Wales (I know, there’s some caveats)!

This classic car conversion company are just butchers of some really nice vehicles, converting cars like a Gordon Keeble recently which are a bit thin on the ground anyway and the cost involved is beyond me. Just by a modern Tesla. Scalextric on steroids, soulless.
