Flyfisher, Sorry I know they were red and adjustable I fitted them the same time I did the remote greasers. I think the story was they had a weaker set of springs in 2006 and 2007 but was told mine was ok. Your Dad's model has the proper seat belts fitted like mine was but you do sit higher in the back and if your average height can be a bit tedious in the back in cold weather. The roof is quite clever huge by Morgan standards a good tip put some neoprene or similar around the middle cantaliever's or they will eventually make their way through the roof as small wear holes. We used to lift the rear hatch and feed two velcro straps around the roof to secure it. I don't think i would trust myself in a Roadster four seater four up, a great tourer though with 24k very happy miles. Em

I have a '64 Plus 4 four-seater, and it's great. True, you would not want to go too quickly with 4 adults, but it's fine at reasonable speeds around town or quiet roads.
If Morgan were to offer a new four-seater in the US, I would put down a deposit today. I have another 2 seat fun car so enjoy the space and rarity.

I had the 2008 Roadster 4 seater and at 6'2'' found the drivers seat quite tight compared a 2 seater, the seat is placed on taller wooden block/rails than a 2 seater and made it harder for me to get in and out. The post 2005 hoods are a challenge, the side screens with the metal colour coordinated lowers, really change the side profile of the cars. I rarely took the side screens off as I loved the classic side profile of these post 2005 cars, plus it can be fiddly to store the side screens in the car, so they don't get scratched. The looks of the post 2005 4 seaters are without question close to perfection and the fold down rear seats very well thought out and practical.
I found even with adjustable suspension all round I never felt happy with carrying 4 adults in the car. very far........it required having to crawl under the rear of the car to adjust the suspension to reflect the payload, and is not an attractive proposition in one best clothes or on wet ground, should one's travelling companions arrangements change. The Roadster 4 seater does suffer from axle tramp and trying to get the power down. I have heard that the 3.7 Roadster 4 seaters can be a bit of an animal to drive quickly
I had a Kent 4 seater and toured extensively in it 2 up, but if I was carrying 4 people on a regular basis I would want a more powerful version without question. There's a 2017 Plus 4 4 seater with power steering and an automatic box up for sale privately for £50k currently being advertised, which to me would make for a great continental cruising/touring car.
The very best of the 4 seater for me are the post 2005 versions, Morgan achieved near perfection in the overall look and seating arrangements .

I have had a 1981 Kent engined 4/4 4-seater. It was traded for a brand new Plus 4 4-seater in 2008. The later model has lots of luggage space and two rear seats suitable for adults. The Plus 4 is much faster than the Kent engined car, but the new leaf springs are too weak. A local Morgan expert fitted additional air suspension units and an onboard compressor allowing me to pump up the rear when carrying passangers and luggage.

4 seater are like hen's teeth. They are so practical that owners are reluctant to sell. I'll agree with that. I've had mine for over 16 years and although I now have little use for the rear seats (the kids have all grown up) I've no plans to sell. If I ever did get rid of it, it would probably be for another 4-seater, I wouldn't want to lose the space. On which point, although not what the OP is after, Richard Thorne currently has a 1992 4/4 for sale rtcc.co.uk/cars/1992-4-4-4-seater/Some nice extras although the paintwork is apparently tired. At first glance, it looked to me that there was an issue with the bonnet but on closer inspection, I can see that what appears to be a gap is actually a painted stripe. I'm not sure I like it, but by coincidence (or possibly not, knowing how these things work) a very nice 1932 Alvis appeared in my Facebook feed with a very similar paint job: robinlawton.com/cars/1932-alvis-speed-20-sa-vanden-plas-tourer ![[Linked Image]](http://tm-img.com/images/2023/08/02/Lawton-Alvis.md.jpeg) The Morgan is £17,995, by the way, the Alvis is £115,000. (As I say, I have no plans to change!!)

Melvin Rutter has a post 2005 4 seater in which is a left hand drive. He supplied it originally to someone in Nigeria who hardly drove it and it’s being sold as seen and needs recommissioning
Could be an interesting project
I wonder what Melvin would charge to get it back to health?

Stewart, They have had that one a while… given it would be worth £45+ in Europe I expect it might cost more than £10k to put right otherwise they would of done the work and sold it onto the European market, unless there is an export issue There have been some great buys of late https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1995-morgan-44-8lWo04Would of made £22k or so not that long ago… There is a 1994 +4 4 seater on FB Marketplace for £16k..

I'm another of the 4 seat fan boys Never had anyone in the back but have panelled it out so that when I remove the seat bolsters I have a large load area - more than enough for a weeks camping kit. I even prefer the quirky looks of the hood - gives the car a 'Keystone cops' feel to it..... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/12/04/IMG_20221204_135934.md.jpeg)
