Just back from a 1690 mile trip from Northumberland, UK to Bordeaux and back. Great experience in no small part due to the Super3.
Highlights included staying a night in a hotel with an underground carpark accessed by a car lift and turntable (very Thunderbirds), staying in another hotel where the 'secure' carpark was in a cave (very James Bond super villain), visiting Le Mans and driving the Mulsanne Straight just a few days before the Le Mans Classic and accidentally managing to drive onto the route of a stage of the Tour De France - according to some friendly police we encountered, we the last car through before they shut the road. The streets were lined with TDF fans who thought we were part of the pre-peleton advanced party and gave us great cheers and waves!

Popped in to the Butler Henderson cafe at the Great Central Railway at Quorn for a lunch break. Just framing up the perfect shot when that modern SUV pulled into shot and parked. I did think about asking him ever so nicely if he wouldn't mind moving to another parking space, but then thought I'd rather have a bacon, brie & cranberry panini than a fist fight.

Thanks Paul. Yes, the 4 seater is notorious in the area! The other 4 wheeler was there when we arrived and was displaying a Donmog badge. It drove off before we could ascertain who owned it!

Riddle of the ACEs...

I own two of these vehicles,

Ha! Someone PM'd me curious if I'd sell one of my ACEs...

The answer is... I sold green ACE #10, to make room for Pete's own red ACE f-6, that now lives next to black ACE#13 'the ACE of Clubs'. The pastel grey Datsun restomod is a previous addition this year, all sharing the garage now; my wife has come to find many reasons to drive 'Grace'.

The two ACEs are very different driving experiences. The original ACE has all the V-Twin rumble and vintage theatrics that lured us all here, while the f-6 is like being on the nosecone of an amazingly engineered and violently powerful 3-wheeled Rocketship!
