Heading south from Cumbria later this week for a family celebration in Hampshire - hopefully in the Morgan as the weather seems to be improving!

Plan first to visit the Historic Dockyard at Chatham in Kent. Was last there c70years ago for a Navy Day.

Booked into the Ship & Trades pub at the docks for two nights.

There seems to be plenty of daytime parking for the museum but I'm less certain about leaving the Morgan near the pub for two nights as it seems to be a busy shopping area.

Has anyone, possibly a local member, any views on the leaving the Morgan there overnight or should I take the GTI -?

You shouldn't have a problem at the pub as the parking is right out front - away from the main outlet centre car park.

Do pop into the Copper Rivet distillery (5 minutes walk away) while you're there. .

I’ve stayed there a few times, it’s always very good and you can park right outside.

Thank you all for those helpful comments.

We've planned a full day there so should be able to fit in a visit to the distillery too.

A young friend looks after our garden whilst we are away and I usually bring back an interesting 'local' whisky as a thank you.
Don't think he will have had a Copper Rivet before!
