can anyone point me in the right direction of where to get a replacement alternator (Lucas A133-65) the last one I bought turned out to be chinese and I do not want to make that mistake again.

meabh, thank you, got one from powerlite fitted and charging ok, just got to find some clip on ignition leads to fit the coil pack.
