I love Sundays, been up and at it since 7, it’s the only day I have breakfast, and this is as good as it gets, home smoked fresh fish and black coffee.

Guess the mystery motor…

That's got to be the best man-cave I've ever come across 🙂 ..... nice bit of smoked haddock is a proper breakfast ... I like mine flaked in scrambled eggs 🙂

Can't place the motor .... '30s/'40s six cylinder .... Humber?.... someone here will know .... is it and addition to your fleet? .... Looks pretty solid.

Have Fun Matey

K

Ps ... looks like you're gearing up for some DIY!

Agreed. VERY jealous. It's bigger than my house.

Nobody would employ me to do anything, I take ages and the finish is “rustic” to say the least. I’ve remade the sliding door with 2nd hand wood and the original corrugated iron, it was previously screwed shut and the Coburn track missing, now it’s a Guinea pig haven with outdoor access and now draught proofed for winter. I burned the wood with a propane torch, looks nice and supposedly resists rot.

That man cave looks wonderful.

Were I to find one, I would need to be crafty - lest Mrs F takes one look and fills it with horses.

1939 SS Jaguar Sports Saloon would be my guess.

Looks like the donor Jaguars that Finch Restorations buy to use to make their SS100 recreations. Something I would love to have but out of my price range.

Yep, spot on (I think), it’s not mine, just looking after it for a friend. It was a lovely usable example until he found a small area of corrosion hidden in the inner bodywork. Many pounds later it’s all fixed but he sold his house ( and his shed) and has nowhere to keep it. I’ve a nut and bolt restoration early Esprit hidden here too. I get the pleasure of looking at them without the wallet emptying problem of owning them.

Other end of the retreat has just had French doors fitted to the living room, the only horses outside today are these Italian ones😁
