Due to the passing of my Brother in Law I now have a collection of Guitars ,I know nothing about guitars .There are 5 Ernie Ball a Gibson and 3 others .
I'm going back to his flat tonight to collect lots of stuff that you plug guitars into . Anyway I was thinking the best way to move them on would be to put them to auction .
We have a local auction house but I don't think they would draw lots of guitar players .Is there any special musical instrument auctions ?

Post the names and model numbers on here or photos, we should be able to give you a guide to value. Advertise them in a Guitar mag or Ebay.

In addition to the above, Tennants here in North Yorkshire also feature musical instrument in some of their auctions, and could certainly provide estimates for you.

Gardiner Houlgate hold regular guitar auctions. They are the specialists. Yep, Gardner Houlgate are definitely the specialists in this area. Stick a few pics up and we can give you a clue. Or I'll give you £500 for the lot.

Thanks for the very useful comments , auction is the way to go , a friend visited tonight and he says the Gibson is the best but that Ernie Ball guitars can make good money .
The money made from the guitars and his other stuff ,I collected 10 bikes today and I need help to move the motorbikes , will go towards his funeral with anything left going to charity .

Ebay worked well for me. I had a '65 Mosrite bass. The top 2 bidders were in Japan!
