8th of October Frontline are releasing the LE60 with a Rover V8 and BEE with electric motor and 140mile range.

Not sure what they have done to the LE60 to make the track 10 inches wider but the car is only available as a GT probably because widening the Roadster is not an option. However under Bespoke options on the Frontline website they have a Roadster V8.

I guess they will still make 4 cylinder Mazda based cars as well.

I would be interested in seeing how they have managed to get 375 BHP out of an RV8 and (presumably) kept decent road manners and reliability

Like Brian I wonder how the heck they get 375 from a RV8 engine . This is the sort of figure that full race Class A car achieve with wild cams and quad carburettor set ups

I wonder if this is a combined ice plus electric motor figure

it is fairly easy to get 375bhp from this engine, mine is 4.8litre (forged pistons take it from 4.6 to 4.8) with different injectors and camshaft etc mine is 287bhp. If you change the heads to merlin heads that gives you an instant 100bhp without doing anything else. the design of the original heads are what holds the engine back in terms of horse power.
The biggest improvement is the increase in torque mine has over 300 lbs/ft

I had the chance to see LE60 whilst it was in development and yet to be officially announced - it is an impressive looking GT.

The wider track wasn't obvious unless you had a standard MGB GT to compare it to; the width has been achieved subtly - no wide wheel arches here! - and unless you knew it was wider, I think most people would just see an MG with a nice stance.

The attention to detail across the vehicle was notable - the interior in particular stood out.

Based on the power they get from the Mazda 4 cylinder engines I find the power of 375bhp not that surprising.

I read in an article saying Frontline are quoting 10 inch wider track. The pictures do look lightly wider but it is hard to know how they did it, the car doesn't look that much obviously obviously wider. Simon do you know what bits they widened?

From my knowledge the wheelbase is 91 inches or 231.1cm, front track 4 foot 1 inch or 124.4cm and rear track 4 foot 1.25 inches or 125cm. Adding 10 inches should leave the wheel base alone and make the front track 4 foot 11 inches or 1498mm and rear 4 foot 11.25 inches or 1505mm. Based on their website I feel wheel base of 1520mm is a typo, Front Track 1490mm is about 9 3/4 inches wider and Rear Track 1540mm is about 11.4inches wider. The rear of the car does look slightly wider than the front so it probably has been increased by a larger margin.

Out of curiosity how do you change the track on a MGB? Can you change it a few mm with adjustments or need new parts regardless, I assume 10 inches needs a lot of custom parts.

You can see that they've got a slight flare in the arches, and the rears have been cut to accommodate the greater track.

Fingers crossed it's not a mixture wheel spacers and offset wheels!

Is it just me...?
In every picture of frontline mg I've seen here on the forum, the doorline looks poor. I keep noticing it but I also notice noone else mentions it.
Am I being over critical? After all, they're not cheap.
