As someone who is about to leave hospital after an emergency operation, I reckon it’s great to get out in the car whenever possible!

Lez I know what you mean. Being snug in that cockpit is a joy. We should appreciate all of the configurations; roof up, roof down, side screens in and side screens out. When G is with me and the weather is hot we put the hood up and keep the sidescreens off. We also enjoy a run in the rain, hood up and maybe widescreens in, but often not. Unless you drive in the rain you can't really get a feel for the handling and traction limits unless you have access to a race circuit.

The possibility to have a hood (up) when it is raining was the reason to ad a Morgan to or CX500 and CX500 with sidecar....

Thanks chaps. Back home now and enjoying the peace and quiet! Hospitals are far too noisy and stressful.

Les’s post reminded me of my 1st full day of Morgan ownership, which consisted of rain and huge amounts of surface water. It really did feel nice and cosy, and the roof hardly leaked at all!
