Looking at my tonneau cover with puzzlement. Never used one before or fitted one. Can it be fitted and used with side screens, looking chilly but dry tomorrow for our autumn run and I’m thinking trying the tonneau but want to keep the side screens too

Yes no problem, just fit it with the doors open and the close carefully the side flappy bits will tuck inside.

Brill thanks. Found a video online fitting a vinyl one. Mines mohair so wondered if it’ll still work. I’ll have a go later.

Well it’s on and I had to try a drive. Cold and windy here with occasional rain. The tonneau kept the cabin much warmer than I expected and zipping it back up after a drive is also much easier than I expected. Only downside I can see is the doors need a bit more of a shove to get them the latch properly. I imagine it’ll stay in place for some months to come.

Thanks chaps

Gary

If you leave the last fastener at the rear of the door undone, then you can pull the tonneau cover material up a little so it is not jammed in place by the door. The ridge you thus create will channel any water away from the cockpit.

Now you need to try a three zip tonneau cover - you won't need side screens then. Nice and snuggly!
