Featuring new Plus 4/6 - looking cheap in this company, including new AC and Healey - I kid you not!

The only one of that list that intrigues is the MG electric. Got to wonder how well it will perform as a sports car given the likely weight penalty of the batteries. The rest are a mixture of supercars with a few ( relatively speaking) cheepos like the Plus Four.

I dont understand the attraction of the million £ cars or even the 300k ones. I dont want more than 400 bhp because I cant use it on the roads anyway. After a petrolhead lifetime, I feel that I am being left behind as the car market marches in to an ever sillier and more expensive cul de sac. Or maybe I am just old?

Interesting pricing on there $70k for a plus four. Why do we pay so much for cars in the UK?

We probably pay more in car tax and VAT than the taxes paid on US Morgans. Same in reverse with Harleys we always paid about the $ amount in Sterling, due to the aforementioned taxes

But interesting the MG seems to be about the same price MG were quoted as wanting in the UK press. They do look interesting.

Rumour is the MG will be half the UK price in China, the 20% VAT and 10% Import tax doesn't quite cover the additional £13k

Visited the motorhome show at the NEC today. We were following a black Lambo for some distance, but all his Horsepower was to no avail has he grumbled along with the rest of us at ten mph in a horrible traffic jam on the M42.

Ah the good old M42. Many years ago got stuck on it in a snowstorm, after an hour or so somebody found a spanner and took out a section of armco and we all turned around and found another way
