Picked it up for the second time from Swmbo Jnr who works in a kindergarten. She spent 3 days in bed last week then Swimbo picked it up for a couple of days in bed. Now I am in bed with aching limbs, sinusitis, a cough and a slight temperature 😠 😡 😤

At least after 3 vacines, Covid last year (from the same source) it is not worse than a flu but

Next year if she comes down with flu-like symptoms I think I will start wearing an FP2 mask.

We had a mild session (6 months ago) not involving bed time, we recently had our fourth jab to prevent the perceived newist strain so time will tell.

We are 4 jabs up too. Sorry to hear you have it Peter , get well soon.

Jeez, sorry to read that Peter. When my late wife worked the university she was forever picking up colds and flue from the students many of whom had no idea of how to look after anything, let alone their health, many of whom were living away from home for the first time in their lives.. Mrs L being such a kindly soul was ever being told not to mollycoddle them as they had to get used to being responsible citizens...

We got the flu & COVID shots two days after flying back from Canada. Not a great combo jet lag & 2 vaccinations

Unlike previous COVID vaccinations the latest COVID Vaccination left me feeling rough for a week, I might as well have had COVID.
Flu vaccination next Saturday.

COVID 19 is not going away anytime soon, it has become one of many winter viruses that we have to live with. We have changed our behaviour a little, mostly avoiding large numbers of people in confined spaces although the virus isn't primarily airborne.

Or am I just getting older and grumpier?

Well Heather and I had both, one in each arm and just had a stiff arm so lucky this time around.

Unlike the first one she had, I almost took her to A&E as her heart rate was banging out of her chest that first night.

Had both vaccinations together about a month ago. Felt a little off for a few days, cant pin point which was responsible or maybe both, it does appear as the different variants appear over time they do seem to be less aggressive compared to a few years ago and the resultant symptoms becoming quite mild by comparison, thank goodness.
