Superb looking car especially that red leather work. I think I see what you mean about looking over the screen whilst driving given one of the pics. Have you had chance to see how the hood sits with you inside?

Wonderful! Thank you for letting us take part in the creation of your car. Great result. I would love to buy Frontline's "poor man's Aston" in addition to the Morgan. That would be the perfect combination. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.autocar.co.uk/sites/autocar.co.uk/files/mg-le50-7_0.jpg)

Thanks everyone, yes I am getting very excited. The red looks a lot nicer in real life, the camera seems to make it go from a deep red to a bright red. Overall I am very happy with my colour choices. My dad was surprised when he saw it saying he never expected the car to look so nice.
I got the fully removable roof for three reasons, firstly it looks neater in the boot rather than folded behind the seats, secondly I have speakers in the back which would be muffled by the roof if I had the fold down roof, thirdly the stow away roof is higher. When I first got the car I fitted in it perfectly with the roof on so it really depends on whether the MX5 seats sit any higher in the car than the old MGB seats did.
Jens, I agree that a Morgan plus Frontline MGB GT would be a great combination. I could easily be tempted to have a Roadster and GT but I can't see me having more than one.

I had my first proper nice long drive of the car today. Thursday afternoon my MGB finally turned up, it still needs to go back to Sydney after about 1000km for its first service but they want me to drive it for a few weeks to see what I think and whether I want anything changed at that service. They are also going to swap the wheels for wire wheels at that time. It also has to have the ACT Government inspection Monday in two weeks but I am allowed to drive it in the meantime. They are very frustrating, the workshop owner had driven it down on his truck for the inspection but they had booked the wrong type of inspection and refused to do it then. He will now drive back down to be there for the inspection. Unfortunately I only just got it off the truck and in the garage when it was time to go to the vet and have our old cat put down, my wife was pretty emotional at the vets and by the time we got home and I buried him deep enough to make sure neighbours dogs don’t come to dig him up it was too late to do anything with the MGB. (I now have 5 cats buried in the back yard). Friday a guy I know from work years ago dropped over just after I got home from running around. I had not really looked at the MGB at all myself but he really wanted a look at the MGB and then got in it wanting to go for a drive. I took him just down around the suburb and when I got home my wife was very angry as she wanted the first ride and we had talked about it three years ago when we agreed to get the car done. I then noticed a mark on the passenger seat and I have no idea if he did it or not as I had not had a chance to look at the car in detail myself but I wouldn’t expect it to be there, that made her even more cross with him and me. I really wish the guy had not dropped over. Today was much better, I took her to a shop she needed to go to that I thought would have a nice empty carpark but the coffee shop next door and carpark was nearly full, there was a nice spot at the end which I parked in to help prevent it getting scratched. I took the attached photos of the enjoyed while waiting for her. The car went very well, I have been told it is a bit more noisy than she expected and she didn’t like the funny backfire noises it sometimes made when slowing down but I thought it sounds great and loved it. I have been told I am now allowed to take other people for rides. Tomorrow I am taking my son for a ride, then on Tuesday I will visit the MGB club morning tea and see what the local MG club members think of the car. I am looking forward to many more drives. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/28/374958100_870096924695330_6252461656994529964_n.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/28/396513015_3686275111608617_2492463223921561557_n.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2023/10/28/377151204_300650966188096_1247787194337254632_n.jpeg)

Amazing who small it is next to the Skoda. Looks great, must be good to have it after so long. Put some miles on it.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Dunlop style wheels - rather like them and so easy to clean compared to wires! Sorry to read about the cat. As for first passenger ride, my wanted to be the first to ride in my first 4/4, but a pal had come over for a look at an early(ish) Land Rover, my first car (except that a lot of it wasn't my original - newer body &c) so he got to ride in it instead She wasn't that bothered though.

Looks fabulous, and I also prefer the dunlops - look much more purposeful, and less faff and hassle than wires. I toyed with getting some for mine, but they were 4x the price of the minilites. Don't sweat any marks and scratches - it's designed to be used and abused
