Looks like a classic Merc mascot with one of the spokes cut out and the wound touched up with red paint, why ?

An original Morgan stork mascot would have been more in keeping (even if not officially correct)

The stripes are just vinyl and could be removed. I'm not sure what the hood frame is made of - looks like it's some sort of plated finish. The car isn't with me but I'll ask my nephew what he thinks.

It's for aiming the (hidden) twin 303s smile

Presumably those odd looking clips on the thick stainless hood frame are designed to flip over and spear you through the back of the head if you brake too hard?

I feel it such a waste people don't use their cars. This one also looks to me fugly a case of just because you can doesn't mean you sohuld.

You're right, John. But then again, these uglies are very easy to remove. What remains is a Morgan with a beautiful color combination, sent to posterity in a surreal way due to the strange oddity of its owner. It makes everyday life more colorful that there is such a thing.

Agreed Heinz .... there's a fine car there ....some added (and easily removed ) owner detailing detracts from it in my eye .... but without the added stripes it would look great .... contrasting piping is less common but I feel that without the stripes the red piping would be fine with the grey paint.
