I quite fancy a trip to the NEC next weekend but as my usual chums aren't going I thought I'd have look at a day ticket taking the train.

YIKES!


its £35 to get in and the train is another £30 from the nearest city!


I'll stay home, I can do better things with £65 like a tank of petrol for the Morgan!

Agreed, too busy, Covid's back, car park fees a rip off, motorway backs up to get in, some twerp will have a bump later so northbound home will be a stop start pain

Yeah, I planned a trip (even the Mrs said she'd come along) but then saw the ticket prices! Will give it a miss. If it was £20-25 I'd probably go.

Update - friend of a friend has a spare ticket so I'm in for the cost of a pint. Also managed to blag an old codgers rail ticket from my village if I stay out after dark!

Hope the be there on Saturday.
