Doing an online search, I came across holley.com and their recommendation is:
with old belt removed and tensioner at rest, pass a length of string or wire round the pulleys in all the right directions, measure its length and subtract 16mm to determine the actual belt length required.
I also read somewhere else that if you cannot find the exact length, up to +/-3% is acceptable.

If 5he marking# are worn away then measure the belt(s).
Width, total length. Those are the basics. Then look at whether plain “V” , toothed or ridged.
You can use those details to get replacements. They are standard dimensions for belts and a motor factor would be able to find them.

Checked my handbook today, and it does indeed quote that the gearbox is a Ford, even though a Mazda MX5 box was fitted from new. So dont trust old stock handbooks
