Along with most classic and specialist cars, prices of M3W alternatives have also fallen back. I've noticed several Trikings have sold recently at sub £20k prices. Not a lot of money for a well-proven and, perhaps more importantly, reliable design with the legendary Moto Guzzi engine. This one looks good value. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C16...QFjlVPTeAhW5bZl2ltMR1xacAjCcbKFe4drrYKrw

That looks really nice and about 20 miles away from me - no I don't need a three wheeler do I....but were I to this would be the model for me for many reasons.

No I agree with you the M3W has it over this one and the Super 3 but I'd trade it off for proven reliability is my angle..

yeah, I get your angle and although I have not had any reliability problems with my Morgan, some have I bought my Morgan from the heart (the sound, that massive engine, it just looks right and pretty with it), neither heart or head would send me to spend my money on the Triking much the same as Kia with it's 10year warranty could not persuade me to buy a Piccanto....but that is me and why I wanted a Morgan

I understand that and am really glad that your car has been trouble free.
I bought my first Plus 8 twenty years ago and others since have always been from the heart no doubt about that but when my good lady suggested I bought a new Plus (CX) series car I hesitated and still am as my Plus 8 delivers everything I need including that glorious sound track.
It would take a good few years of trouble free accounts of CX to suck me in, that or an inoperative left knee and then automatic option would kick in maybe.

That does look like a very attractive purchase for someone. I have always admired the engineering of the Triking but not the styling so much. I think that Morgan spent 80% of the design budget on styling and 20% on the engineering, Triking the other way round. The Type 4 Triking is a good alternative to the M3W on paper but still not a looker.

I am the proud owner of a Morgan plus 4 1980, Aluminium body with Ford 1600 engine. I also agree that the Morgan 3 wheeler post 2012 is a very attractive model. However I have also built a Triking and could not have anything other than praise for the trike itself from an engineering point of view, and also the support I received from Alan the supplier during the progress of my built. If I didn’t live far from the UK I can start all over again as it was such a nice experience. I also agree that there were some body design aspects on the Triking which were not to my liking, and probably to many others, however I managed to change these and improve the looks. I am sure that many of those who are rather sceptical about Triking because of looks , will have second thoughts when they see the modifications. I wish I can post pictures in support of this but I didnt succeed. Maybe I can email the photos to someone who will be kind enough to post them on my behalf on this thread
