Rich, If it comes off it would be brilliant. Salisbury has a full size plastic Spitfire at the Rugby club. This is due after the bombing of the Supermarine factory at Woolston, Southampton the building of these marvellous planes were spread across the country.

Dave interesting you have a model there, I knew there were quite a few dissipated build sites but I believe Sothhampton was the original until it got wrecked. That is a lovely design. I wonder where the Sun is relative to that, so the plane is shown in relief.
I guess being on the south coast it should be roughly behind it from a visitors point of view, being to the south of the coast.
Seeing the famous elliptical form like that is quite awe inspiring for me.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

It's more arty than Spitfire Island at Castle Bromwich!
The sculpture of Frank Whittles first jet on the A47 roundabout near Lutterworth is a lot more impressive.

Really like the Spitfire design, the wrap around lower wall would be great to etch some information panels into
I suspect it will need some complex 'puter wind loading sims by the consulting engineers
