Since this is supposed to be a pub, what’s your favorite going out drink?

My favorite is a really good Bloody Mary with a beer chaser. The addition of a beer chaser seems to be unique to Wisconsin.

I just bought this bourbon whiskey to make a Classic Old Fashion. Came highly recommended for Old Fashions.

Japanese whiskey sounds interesting.

It’s Friday. My wife just baked bread. I think I’ll have a big slice with a good drink tonight.

I can almost taste that, no bread here today but a batch of Christmas sausage rolls will be in the oven over the weekend to take down to our Son and his good lady in Cornwall Tuesday next on our pre Christmas visit.

I got into the Japanese drop when No1 Daughter treated me to some sample bottles and I was a bit partial to them and went from there, she is the gift that keeps on giving. xmashappy

Preferably on draught but the cold filtered bottled version is a pleasant home drink.

I too love home baked bread fresh and still warm from the oven, a slice of the crust just needs butter.

Works for me innocent

Topical because I've discovered just this evening that our local brewery Greene King have (finally) re-introduced their Strong Suffolk Ale, last enjoyed in 2018. I've been chasing for this every Christmas since, being the only ale to challenge Old Peculier IMHO. It didn't take much consideration therefore to order two cases which are already winging their way to me. Thank you santarudy

If an ale night then Marstons Peigree or Timothy Taylor Landlord.

Dining then:
Burleigh Gin & Fevertree Tonic
Followed by a decent red
And then a good malt - Laphroaig currently in stock (courtesy of Mrs F & a recent birthday).

If it was available here, one of the most delicious bourbons to my taste was an MB Roland that I had tried and sipped on a distillery tour and then took a bottle to take it home.. It was unfiltered.

In Cologne, I like to drink Kölsch in the pub.
