If I'm feeling playful I'll answer "Swakopmund Surgical Boot Company" or Dartmouth Police Station either will elicit them hanging up...

We have caller ID and just don't answer if we don't recognise the calling number normally, anyone that matters has our mobile and will call that.

Yes, a lot of number spoofed calls here. I once received a call from an easy to recognise number - it was mine!

My wife and I were in the bank yesterday. The assistant helping us with our enquiry went on to talk about fraud and scams as that is much of her business these days. She told of an elderly gent who was so convinced that he only had to pay some money to get his winnings. Even his family believed him until he had lost much more than he could afford. So we may mock these emails but some will respond.
No we weren't there about fraud or scams!

Got a call on my wife's phone today. Hello this +++++++ calling from EE I said not interested and hung up. The caller (english) sounded like a heavy smoker and calling from a car. These are a new scam where they offer to switch you from your current supplier to a better deal, (phone/gas/electric) requiring your bank details of course. Googling the telephone number it came back to a closed down Fish Bar in Teddington.
