I saw a picture of a roadster 3.7 showing condensation on the coil pack (I think) (Plastic bit down to plug). Sorry can't post pic as not mine to post. Looked like it could become significant over time.

BigLes, Was that no.1 plug by any chance? The no.1 plug on my GDI was not that bad but it was rusty. On the GDI there are some drain holes in the back of the cam cover so it will help if these are kept clear. Rog, the thing with the Duratec plug leads is that the sealing rings have vent notches in them so they are bound to let water down to the plug chamber. Well my 07 Duratec was like that. From my Duratec. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/01/04/IMG_0012rs.md.jpeg) Crikey, they look like something subjected to a saltwater spray corrosion test

Blimey John, surprised you got them out! That’s an interesting feature that I hadn’t noticed. Yes it could be a possible path but I'm still thinking that you would need a fairly deep puddle in the cover to get up over the upstand and top hat. On a Duratec it might be worth packing those 4 annular grooves with a PTFE grease or DC4 electrical compound.
