Could look great, just requires refinement in design. I think the slots for the seat belts should be omitted, which will allow the frame to be continuous, therefore allowing freedom of movement for the seat belts. The top should be rolled under the frame, so the pop rivets are not visible.

I am sure some very good design ideas will flow from your post. I will be interested to watch your progress.

A nice ash frame would do the job and fairly simple for a woodworker to produce, manufactured with a nice radius edge,which in turn would allow the aluminium top to be fold over easily.

Replace the alloy tray with a clear or tinted makralon and you also get a rear wind buffer! Excellent design though and beautifully executed, Well done!
