The weather here is miserable. Been raining since September and everywhere is soaked, mostly dry for 3 days now but the roads are still damp and salted. Morgan hasn't moved for a month and it looks like the next 2-3 weeks are rain, ice and snow. So do I take my chances today and go out for an hour (2 -3 degrees but that doesn't really bother me) or leave it tucked up clean and dry in the garage for another month?

3rd world dilemma I know

Wait until the rain has washed the salt away. The only time I don't drive mine is when there is salt on the road.

Same here. I don’t mind the rain or the cold, but salt keeps the Mog in the garage.

I know it is painful but I prefer to wait for a least dry weather & preferably after rain to wash the salt away. But I may break if the cold dull but dry spell carries on.

Then of course a thorough rinse off at least on coming home is called for.

Same here.
We’re just back from a few days in Oxford (visiting daughter and son-in-law)
My dark blue Mini was disgusting by the time we arrived home.
Coated in salt.

Personally, I would drive the car, because life can throw up nasty surprises. I am speaking as someone going through chemotherapy, and a friend of mine died last month due to a brain tumour diagnosed only a few months ago.

I couldn't agree more. Lost a very good mate early Dec (52), Bikey mate died on Christmas Eve (64) - both strokes. Friend lost her husband Boxing Day. Life is far too short to worry about a bit of salt on the roads......
