Winding down for the night I just ran across a couple articles about the pedal box assembly.... USA today - Morgan Super 3 recall... does anyone have any further information about it?

My closest dealer is in Atlanta (I live in Houston) - wondering how this is gonna sort out.

I found this which calls out some details on affected units, production dates this affected etc. 62 examples affected.

Super 3 Brake Pedal Box Recall

It seems that the Super 3 is following exactly the same path as the M3W.....

From the pdf attachment to the article Super 3 recall PDF there are 69 VIN numbered cars affected, 62 of which are subject to the US recall. I wonder if the others have been picked up pre delivery.

Also wonder if it's just LHD vehicles or whether UK cars might be affected.

On the positive side, this issued was first reported on the 13th Dec 2023 and the corrected pedal boxes should be with the US dealers by the end of Jan 2024 so a pretty quick turnaround.

For info I have been advised by a dealer that this issue and recall only apply to USA cars.

Let's just hope that nobody has to make an emergency stop from high speed in one of the cars that may have the problem, before all the cars that are being recalled are sorted out.

The issue is the brake pedal not returning so the brakes themselves are OK.

Supposedly the issue was reported by a US dealer - I wonder what the exact situation was. The only thing I can think of (beyond a full panic stop) would be a heavier individual stepping on the brake pedal inadvertently to hoist themselves out of the car.... causing a failure.
