My 2013 M3W has departed. It was great fun but expensive to maintain. I now have a 1961 Triumph 3A. It was assembled in South Africa from a 1958 CKD kit & registered there in 1962. It was reimported 2021 & registered in UK. It had a SA personalised plate 62-TR3A-WP (WP for Western Cape province) which I got. A great show plate.

That is from new I think? Not bad going, 11 years of ownership but there comes a time for everything. Sorry to see you go but I am sure the TR3A will be fun as well. It will probably be a bit more reliable as well sadly, although not more comfortable from my limited experience of one.

Yes I had it from new. I keep some cars for longer than usual. A Mustang for 6 years & my vintage Sunbeam 16 for 47 years. Tried to log in to TM Image but it wont accept my password change "Request denied". Maybe try tomorrow. I will still login occasionally & give my inexpert opinion.

Tim, that’s a stunner, I was sad to read you sold your Morgan but that’s a brilliant replacement, roll on summer!

A 3A if I am not mistaken, the 3 had a similar nose cone to the 2 but with a grill....I rescued a 55 2 from a garden and it is to my shame that I never got round to restoring it before it was too far gone. I still have the original handbook for the two amongst my treasures..(-: I think the engine in your 3A us the same unit fitted in Mog +4`s of the same era..., and the rear suspension not a lot different..(-: ENJOY.
