Hello

Do you think it is a good idea to clean the engine with the cryogenic method...

It is very impressive on video: engine bay and the chassis...

I have a cryogenic surgical spray. It’s quite effective for solar damage on a bald head. Hadn’t thought of using it on my engine thinking

Looks to work (and especially good for getting oldmastic soundproofing off shells for restoration) ... I'd be a bit wary of plastics and rubber .... but there should be more info about that out there.

Rog ... have had the cryogenic spray for my head before now ... didn't know you could get it for self-administration.

I too have watched a few vids on ice blasting, I think I have even read of it being used to clean out inlet tract gunge caused by regs requiring the crankcase to vent it`s self via an oil separator into the inlet tract on direct injection engines..?
I have used freezer spray in electronic applications in past times...

Seem to remember a neighbour telling me he was booking his Skyline in for an underside clean up and the price estimated was circa £10K, plus parts..!!!

Just to be absolutely clear. DON’T DO THIS YOURSELF. So no medical advice here other than wear a hat smile

PS - A doc showed me how to do it using this stuff.

Wasn't considering it! 🙂 ... won't be removing my own appendix with a pen-knife either 😁
