Saw a Matt Black 90 new Defender in Torquay M&S car park today and it looked like a Mafia staff car, even the bonnet tread plates were black, pretty smooth though with the black windows.

Blacked out everything seems to be popular, bad guys like black, they think it’s stealthy and mysterious, nothing I aspire to be😁

You’re right about the weather Keith, I can see it on my security cameras, I hope it’s still white when I return. Following my broken leg last year, I’d resolved to hang up my ski boots and turn the skis into garage ornaments, at the last minute I changed my mind.

When I got here I went straight to the scene of the incident and skied it several times just to show it who’s boss. I didn’t know until now the name of the lifts, Dent and Loze, the writing was on the walls to speak!

The Summer Isles today, after there we went to Lochinver for their famous pie shop. Incredible road but the pie shop is closed on Sundays

Sue and I missed the pie shop when we had a week in (Culkein) Drumbeg. Must be 20 years ago now. We used to get fuel in Lockinver (and a tyre - one blew on the M6 on the way north).
Stunning scenery all around there.

Hardly a soul about and any who were seemed be going the other way, had the place to myself. The main route from lochinver to Ullapool on is all in good condition, the roads to and around the Summer Isles, not so much. The Morgan would have managed fine but I must be getting soft, I was glad of the extra creature comforts. Warm summer sunshine though and the Morgan would be by far the best tool for the job!

When we did our first big road trip back in 2016, the Scottish roads were so much better than at home. But slowly over the years they have deteriorated, and I guess that's why we lost a front damper last May!.

I do envy you the option of doing that though Ewan. Unless you've done those (zero traffic) routes, you can't imagine the driving plessure they give.
