Anyone else finding their headlights are failing on S3's?
First the passenger headlight dies and now several months later, the drivers has given up the ghost too.
Just curious...!
Thanks

I think I have worked out why the drivers headlight is failing - anyone able to confirm this theory?:
Driver's headlight does not come on when I start the car, only the passenger one. After 10 minutes of driving, the drivers headlight starts working... so could it be that the battery is a bit low (it can be 5 days between drives and I have not yet got a trickle charger fitted) and it is somehow cutting power to the drivers headlight until the battery has charged enough...
If it is not that, then I don't know what...
Thoughts?!

Thoughts?! If this is consistent time wise then it's likely more suspicious I'm afraid. Symptoms don't suggest a battery volts issue. It would do no harm to check check connections on headlamps though as per Jon's comment. Check fuses as well. Later cars have individual fuses for each side and dip and main beam so there are four just for headlamps.

Not a battery issue. Either a connection issue as noted by CooperMan, or most likely (I believe these are LED Lamps) an issue with the lamp driver circuit in the lamp itself. Or maybe it's a previously unannounced feature?

Get it sorted out under warranty, easier than worrying about it and trying to work it out
