Clean & gap the plug. Change the fuel & clean the filter. And then find a source of Aspen2 fuel (from a local garden machine supplier). It's not cheap compared to pump fuel, but contains no ethanol. Don't pay the stupid money being asked on Fleabay.

It also helps to drain as much fuel as possible from the tank before laying up. Then run the motor until it stalls from fuel starvation.
Avgas from a local small airfield has no ethanol and in a sealed container will last a long time.About 40p per litre more than pump fuel.

Be aware this is not the correct size for our Morgans. So what is the correct size please? Looking back, I see that Rog’s first purchase of the s/s one was 16 mm and his second purchase from fleabay was for hoses with 16mm internal diameter, and I didn’t hear him complain of leaks or too tight a fit.

Best to measure yours mine is 19mm perhaps a 16mm could be tightened down but Viper does a 19mm. Rog's plastic one looks to be bigger (19mm?) than his stainless one next to it.

Thanks for that, as I was about to order one. Seems best to measure first but be interesting to have Rog’s thought on this too. Did it fit snug Rog or did you have to really tighten down ?

Snug describes it well Keith and it sealed on the first attempt just by nipping up with a screwdriver.

My boat builder used to soft solder a compression fitting olive onto plain copper pipe to provide a rubber hose interface. Without some sort of single or better multiple oversize lip you won't get a liquid tight fitting to rubber hose - even with two hose clamps. Learn't the hard way
