I’m going for it. I’m loaded and can’t see anyone will be stupid enough to think this is worth doing. I love being the centre of attention. I’m hoping I’m the only one on the trip.
even with my 12 yr old son and a TM member, and it's a blast. No convoys, sight see if you want, but you won't get round all the cols. No back up/ reps/ support bus, just your tool kit, common sense and self reliance. Best suited to those that really want to drive their cars, the main day is a 12 hour "event" . Great accommodation organised for you, good food, good varied company- ages, cars, demographics and fun. All for largely less than a third of the cost. And you get a chance to have a personalised memoir book with you on the cover!
I would love that drive I have driven up on a Honda 400/ 4 in 77 from Palermo to the UK as we did a France Spain . Morocco , Algeria, Tunisia & back trip as a student. Have been down to Sorrento in a Mog & to the lakes . I would 't rally it but I would cruise it. That is practically my dream trip except perhaps via the Sud Tyrol & Bavaria.
SWMBO though needs 5 star hotels.

While wandering around the www I came across this short vid of folk enjoying their cars and it caused me to think back at the comments on possible costing re the reported MMC`s travel offer... I wonder just what the entry fee might be to take part in the one in the linked vid... If you might suffer envy by nature, perhaps best not to beam it up....? (-:
Btw there are some ladies who do greatly enjoy a bit of adventure, and my little lady was one such as it was at her suggestion that we headed for France from Central Scotland in our +8 to attend the 24 hrs at Le Mans, then carry on to tour a bit of France, a trip she very much enjoyed, so much so that she suggested we travel even further on our next tour, this time to the South of Spain, and the next again down to the Amalfi... Thus I can guarantee that there are ladies out there who who are not only particular on how they present themselves but also enjoy the sense of adventure that can be involved in long distance Morganeering... (-: There are even some who do it on their own and on motorcycles... Perhaps try beaming up Itchy Boots on YT if interested..? (-:
We used to do ice racing on the frozen lakes up her in the mountains until the environmentalists stopped it a few years ago. A while back I took the +8 and actually won the class I was put in, I was using blizzak tyres with only 10psi inflation, tremendous fun but a bloody cold drive there and back with no roof.

If you did happen to be a billionaire, with a collection of the rarest cars on the planet, why the hell not......! Fantastic to see machines like that being used and their drivers having fun rather than in lines at a concours. An Auto Union...........🤯🤯 WOW...!
So expensive. Not for me. I am secretary of a car club, been going 30 years. Cars need to be 25+ years old to participate. I am the only Morgan owner, E Types, XKs, Lancia, BMW, Triumph..... , Organise all our trips ourselves, no third party. Europe, USA, S.Africa..... so done at cost. Our 18 day trip to France and Spain this Autumn, nice hotels is £6k. Did 40 days, 4k miles in the USA back in 2018 including shipping the +8 for £9k. It's 11 days in Greece in 2025. Meet in Igoumenitsa, options on how to travel there. We don't drive in convoy. PM me if you want details of the car club.
