I was wondering if there are any specialist Morgan breakers yards around?
I'm looking to replace my front seats and a few other interior bits.

These folk sometimes break Morgans although I didn’t find them helpful when I was looking to replace the seats in my plus 8 a few years back https://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/You might have more success than I did.
2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!

I don't think there are enough damaged Mogs to justify dedicated breakers. Furthermore many are rebuilt I imagine given high residuals. You do occasionally see newish insurance write offs being parted out on eBay though.

Almost all Mogs broken for parts are by breakers asking silly, high prices
As it's seats and interior you require, you may be better off having your existing ones refurbished by someone like Allon White's

Agreed I got a dash in walnut for 220 but they want 200 for a wing mirror. From memory vwbreakers on Ebay who have a 2916 Roadster

These breakers in Motherwell had a complete Roadster interior which they sold recently: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266476994872 They have other Roadster items still available, including a very bashed rear end with luggage rack.

They very rarely get broken.
Those that can't be put back on the road in the UK due to insurance categorisation get sold abroad.
There was a certain breakers who parted out a late 70's early 80's 4/4, best avoided due to the sale of very badly damaged parts at a premium on eBay

Could a CAT B car be exported and put back on the road abroad? As I presume that is the only category that could be broken for parts?
Expect there will be a 2007 Roadster 4 seater on the Synetiq auction site shortly… I expect it will be a CAT B so a breaker would need to buy it to brake for parts.

In Germany there is no CAT system.
To bring a car on the road it is tested by the TÜV (or an other company wich is authorised for this test).
They decide wether the car Complies with the rules or not...

A few years ago an early Roadster was written off and was for sale at a breakers, it evaporated for a couple of years and then an identical Mog in that particular colour was for sale as a re-import with no declaration of it's past history...naughty !
