On my CX Car I just stuck the tag on the windscreen behind the rear view mirror, never had any problems so far

Inspired by this thread we got a Fulli tag ( https://www.fulli.com/ ) for our PlusFour MY2022. Fulli currently have a rebate for the registration fee, it works in France and Spain, plus it seems to work fine from our UK GBP Lloyds bank account (using the IBAN number).

We are currently travelling in France, Spain and Portugal - We did have a few problems getting it to register through the heated element of the windscreen but there is a 2 inch section down each side without the element and we attached it there (inside the glass just above where the passenger side windscreen wiper rests), which seems to work fine. see picture.

Many thanks Gonze - really useful feedback. I had noted the side gap in the screen elements and intended to try that when I next get the chance so your experiment is really helpful.
My tag is also Fulli - much more user friendly nd cost effective than the UK offered versions on the French system.

The co pilot sat nav AKA Jan Nag waves it about above the screen and that works. Black side towards the sensors.
I didn't want to leave it stuck on as I expected it to walk,

Behind the rearview mirror, it worked well on my PlusFour both in Italy as in France! Even in Parking. places in Italy!
