Since last year I‘ve got problems to grease frontaxle regulary.

Now I undo the wheels for a better reach (German overdone, but I‘m very ill and there are some healthy problems, so the result was as I thought).

I could grease the upper nipples, but the lower ones don‘t work. The idea is new nipples. To reduce the „Morgan specialpart upgrade price“ and silly shipping and tax - what do you think? Will this nipples fit?

They‘re available for about 2,-EUR/ the piece from a German Mini-Partsdealer.

I think about this ones:

Thank you for your help!

It all depends on the thread size being the same (1/8BSP or 1/4UNF I think?). Have you tried cleaning the old nipples?

You could unscrew the nipples and see if grease goes through them 'stand-alone' .... that'll prove they aren't siezed closed.

I believe the lower ones are 45° ¼" UNF with a washer spec'd to allow best orientation for grease gun, although my car doesn't have these. Do ensure any replacement doesn't have a longer thread than OE to avoid binding on kingpin!

Upper ones are 90° ⅛" BSPT thread.

Try replacing them with a remote greasing kit from Wolf Performance

René, just checked and the Mini grease nipples you link to part #UHN445, are ¼"UNF so would fit. The thread doesn't look too long so should be ok. You could always add a washer if needed.

Cleaning the Nipples with WD40 sometimes works or at least it has with mine. Another thought is are you sure the nipples are blocked I agree with Image in first removing them and testing you can also obtain the correct measurements whilst removed.

Best advice I ever received when I couldn't get grease into the nipples was to push a darning needle into the hole ( the spring loaded ballbeaing). This simple action revolutionised greasing for me. Must be worth a try before expenditure

Greasing Technique: If the grease gun is not applied to the nipples exactly in line, grease will ooze out sideways, as if the nipples are blocked when in fact they may be ok.A “G-coupler” attached to the grease gun, makes it fairly fool proof.

Yes, that's the trick, or a fine phillips screwdriver so you don't get grease on your wife's knitting
