In my case I had to pay to have the meter removed and independently tested. It was found to be defective.

The fun started when the energy supplier (E.On-Next) used a ridiculous method to calculate the rebate.

I am now querying Octopus Customer Services why I appear to be ineligible to migrate to Octopus Flux variable tariff.
2.3kW PV. 10kW battery system (that is compatible). Smets2 meter.
If they can't figure out why, I will be looking at other suppliers and Eon Next appears to be favourite presently.
I'd like to stay with Octopus, but all the TV ads re: changing to variable / cheaper tariffs are beginning to grate smile

I've found that Eon is reasonable.

Graham, I stopped to the basic Flux not the fancy Intelligent version as I wanted to control my own battery export, it's working OK for our needs but had to swop (was already with Octopus) by talking to them as the online system was blocking the tariff swop, if that helps

Thanks Jon.
That is what I would prefer too. The "smart" one is not available at present anyway, due to fluctuation in wholesale prices.
I now know why I could not move - my FiT is provided by Eon Next, so in the process of moving supplier. The battery system only went in in early June.

I've been told that I can move and the buyer of the house gets the remainder of the FiT. I, too, am with Eon Next for my FiT. Best investment I ever made, It's paid for itself more than twice.
